Guitar Lessons in Edinburgh Store Only

Are you looking to take up the guitar?  Brush up your existing skills?  Learn a bit more theory, or a new technique?

In the relaxed environment of our purpose built quiet room at the Imported Instruments shop in Ocean Terminal at the shore in Leith, Edinburgh, you can do all this and plenty more, without any of the hassle or pressure usually associated with taking a guitar lesson.

We offer guitar lessons in store from Monday to Friday.  If you would like a private 1-to-1 guitar lesson, you can arrange to have one any time from 10:30am up until 8pm, timetable permitting.  Our private guitar classes are a great way to improve quickly and refine your technique, or figure out where you are having problems with playing and correcting them.  These sessions can be booked on a one off basis, and generally with as little as a few hour's notice.

They can also be arranged as a 2-to-1 or 3-to-1 if, for example, you want to be taught along with friends or your children.  Guitar group classes are generally limited to a maximum of 3 people, so as to retain a focus on each individual's progress. 

Why Our Classes?

You can park for free, and if you're dropping the kids off for a lesson, enjoy a coffee next door at Starbucks, or wander around the 70 other stores in the shopping centre.  Alternatively, if you need somewhere for the kids to go while you take a lesson, there is Molly's children's play centre, or the Build-A-Bear Workshop nearby to keep them amused!

Our guitar tutor is a friendly and personable working musician, who has great experience of teaching a diverse range of styles, and impeccable musical theory knowledge.  No matter what you want to learn, you will be taught it in a way that is fun and enjoyable, but also hugely informative and personalized to your needs.  You'll also generally be given some exercises to take away and practice, to reinforce the main points of the lesson.

Individual lessons can be booked any time Monday-Friday between 10:30am and 8pm where the quiet room is not already booked.  Please note that during the summer school holidays there is generally a higher uptake during the daytime, so book your lessons in advance to avoid disappointment!
